A client of the A.C. Coy Company is seeking a Senior Purchasing Professional on a full time basis. This is an opportunity with an excellent company located in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. This individual will act as a team leader for national logistics and warehousing program within the supply chain management team to support their business.
Acts as team leader for logistic and warehousing program.
Main point of contact for new warehouse request as well as monitoring existing locations.
Analyzes and negotiate proposals and bids, following through with recommendation to construction teams.
Provides daily and weekly reports to Management Team.
Supports District Management teams using problem solving skills and new idea generation to satisfy area needs.
Handles escalation of time-sensitive issues.
Assists the Purchasing Manager by leading project efforts which support the goals of the team.
Mentors Purchasing Consultants in Supply Chain processes and procedures.
Meets with vendors and internal teams to ensure open communication on project deadlines, alignment of goals, etc.
Three (2) to five (5) years of related business or purchasing experience
JDE/Oracle Experience perferred.
Prior Inventory Management or Allocation experience preferred.
Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Advanced customer service skills.
Strong communication skills.
Advanced organization and prioritization skills.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline
