We are looking for an Account Manager who will partner with our customers in order to ensure their long-term success while growing revenues by positioning new and value-added services to them.
The Account Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of assigned customers with the express purpose to nurture and strengthen the relationship while they develop new business from existing clients. Account Managers must be able to connect with and to develop strong relationships with key customer contacts and senior leaders. They must understand customer questions, issues, and objectives, and be able to communicate them with cross-functional internal teams. Account Managers will help implementation teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs, and to then act as the first contact to the customer post-implementation. Our ideal candidate is able to identify customer needs and exceed client expectations, and will be expected to develop a high degree of product knowledge in order to answer usability questions and possibly conduct user training. The successful Account Manager will also be expected to collaborate with our sales team to achieve sales quotas and grow our business.
Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Communicate clearly the progress of account development and growth initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Prepare reports on account status
Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
Requirements Education, Experience & Training required:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or technical/engineering discipline.
5 or more years of experience as an account manager, key account manager, or other relevant experience
Experience in Accounts Payable Automation, including but not limited to ERP, accounting, financial systems solutions, and/or solutions for expense management, and/or business travel services, a plus
Consultative and strategic sales experience a plus
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Excellent listening and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
