The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Program Coordinator. This position provides specialized professional services and support to the following West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) cores: Clinical Research Design, Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CRDEB), Clinical Research Resources and Facilities and Technologies and Resources for Core Laboratories (TRCL). This position reports to the Clinical Services Integration Manager and assists in the implementation of various processes and projects. Assists in the organization and coordination of projects, including planning, organizing, prioritizing service requests and community outreach and training/technical assistance activities, and developing administrative policies and procedures with respect to the WVCTSI and its mission. Responsible to track projects progress. Requires cross-core collaboration to maximize effectiveness and eliminate redundancies.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Maintain program schedules and calendars.
Assist with evaluation activities such as tracking and reporting for quarterly reports.
Facilitate services provided to researchers in a broad array of areas including, clinical trials, biostatistics, data analysis.
Assist in the creation and dissemination of materials pertaining to the services provided by the WVCTSI.
Assist senior CTSI staff with trainings and workshops. May disseminate materials, set up training rooms, assist with scheduling, etc.
Provide assistance to management with functions such as planning, organizing coordinating, scheduling and implementing project activities to meet objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business, Statistics, Biomedical Sciences or a related field.
2 years of experience with program development/coordination.
