Our Client, a Pittsburgh-based company specializing in the design and installation of high-end cabling systems, is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Installation Technician position. The work itself is typically part of new construction or build-outs and can include cabling and connections for phone, data, security, building control, A/V, and facility access systems.
This contract-to-hire role will be an excellent opportunity for a motivated, reliable individual to join a stable company.
Assist on medium and large-scale cabling projects under the direction of a Senior Technician or Engineer.
Run low voltage cabling per project specifications and blueprints
Connect cabling to patch panels and faceplates according to manufacturer’s requirements
Perform testing on completed work to ensure successful connections.
Two or more years of cabling experience is required, with Category 5e and Category 6 strongly preferred.
Skilled in the use of common hand and power tools.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and has the ability to communicate well and work in a team environment.
Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 40 pounds
Ability to drive own vehicle to local job sites and pass drug screen/background check.
Certification from any cabling manufacturer will be a plus
