Our client, a leader in the industry, is hiring a Technical Support / Software Engineer. This position will provide pre-sales support for point of sale / kiosk based software. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience.
Be the main contact for software changes/issues
Formalize requirements for new projects/software changes from the Business Perspective
Provide contact point with third-party vendors in the market, over integration projects (e.g. payment systems, peripherals, 3rd party solutions)
Coordinate acceptance tests of new software deliveries for the market.
In house testing and responsible of Beta/Trial phases in the field.
Write/localize user/functional documentation based on customer requirements or based on his own understanding of the system
Provide functional/technical training to the local support teams
Be the escalation point to any software related issues in the market; will be in charge to open and follow-up software related incidents to central software support
Create all the documentation needed to support other departments (Support, Installation, Sales, Reporting, etc.)
General IT skills: Windows configuration, networking, remote control software (TeamViewer, UltraVNC Logmein, etc) and CRM solutions (eg Mantis), knowledge of HTML, XML, JSON formats
Good understanding of SW development cycles
Good understanding of Webservices (RESTful)
Proven ability to perform software functional analysis
Ability to learn to use both standard/commercial new tools and new software solutions
Organizational and strong Project Management skills
Documentation (technical/business) skills
Up to date with SW industry trends – AngularJS, MEAN dev stack, Mobile, etc.
Ability to learn scripting languages and build scripts
