Professional Development Program Coordinator (CTSI 17-0092)
The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Professional Development Program Coordinator. This position will provide program support and coordination for the PhD, Masters and Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science programs, continuing education activities, seminar series and workshops, mentoring initiatives, and the Research Scholar program.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Develop marketing and recruiting tools for programs.
Develop and provide presentations to facilitate recruitment of participants in the WVCTSI educational programs.
Provide academic advising for enrollees in the CTSI academic programs.
Assist mentors and mentees in troubleshooting challenges related to mentoring and educational programs.
Communicate with presenters and lecturers to coordinate scheduling of seminars, workshops, and courses.
Develop web-based provision of all seminars and short workshops to facilitate distance learning.
Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree in public health, education, public administration, or a related field is preferred
Two (2) years of experience in the following:
Program development or program management
Coordination of academic programs
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
