The Studio is the post-digital design, development and workflow laboratory at Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh (CMP). We are a collective of cultural technologists working to support a culture of innovation throughout our museums.

In order to fulfill our mission, we’re building a talented team of developers and designers who thrive on solving complex problems and making work with impact.
We’re currently on the hunt for a creative application developer to join our scrappy, but growing team.
As an application developer working in the Studio, you will:
? design and develop delightful applications using modern web-based frameworks and mobile frameworks like Swift & React Native;
? generate and call a virtual army of RESTful JSON endpoints;
? experiment with leading-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, NFC low-energy Bluetooth and IoT
? craft delightful user interfaces and experiences, previous work with conversational interfaces a plus;
? embrace human-centered design and rely on user feedback throughout the project process;
? understand social media and where it does/doesn’t belong in your work;
? version control everything with Git;
? be relentlessly creative, have big ideas and the initiative to bring them to life This is a full-time position. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. ? have at least a Bachelor’s degree, however a degree in a creative track like art, design, media production or computer science is preferred;
? have been doing this kind of work for a few years already and have some great examples of projects that make you proud;
? enjoy a fast-paced work environment with several active projects at any given time;
