Communicating with Stakeholders: Intake and champion business stakeholder requirements. Represent business stakeholder requirements and facilitate stakeholder product visions by researching needs, flowing out the experience with design teams, prototyping the experience, and testing the ease and impact of the experience. Lead an effective working cadence between the teams. Create user community to develop ‘voice of customer’ in the IT community.
Testing the Product: Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs. Carry out “quick tests” and live in person testing with the McKesson teams to identify areas needing improvement in the end user experience. Evaluate new product integration and market opportunities where the Digital Technology Workplace can be used to deliver differentiated value to customers and partners.
Building the Product: Act as the primary business liaison with IT teams. Lead recurring meetings to clarify and confirm business asks. Provide transparency into business motives for each new request, facilitating a strong partnership with IT. Hold approval authority in product demos, where you will sign off on sufficiency / accuracy of build.
8+ years of hands-on IT product management experience
Possess a blend of business and technical savvy; have a big-picture strategic vision and the drive to make that vision a reality; eager to work tactically and strategically
Experience collaborating with a team of designers and/or researchers through the full product development cycle
Demonstrated ability to define, develop and deliver products with industry leading user experience designs that delight customers
Working knowledge of lean and agile development methodologies
Strong project management
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to own project work-streams end-to-end and act autonomously
Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, but able to navigate a changing environment
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts and technologies to internal and external audiences
