Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is actively seeking an Associate Project Manager. This position is going to supports the project team by developing, tracking and applying controls to manage a project’s schedule, cost, scope and resources.
Maintain project schedule by working with leads to develop and track near term work package plans and longer term planning packages to support project objectives
Meet with functional leads to status progress against baseline.
Create schedule and cost analysis and metrics to review with project team (detail) and management (summary).
Update and track other program metrics Risk, Product cost, Resource allocation, etc.
Work with project leads to develop corrective action plans for schedule and/or cost variances outside of the variance threshold.
Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to organize plans.
Develop baseline schedule and cost based on resource allotment for schedule and cost tracking.
Work with project leads to identify and manage program risks including development of contingency and mitigation plans
Work with functional managers to request resources based on work package plans and level plans based on available resources
Experience with Microsoft Project
Experience working in product development environment
Experience working in regulated medical product development environments
