Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager/Sales Professional to join MSA's Information Technology Systems and Services (ITSS) group.
Forms and maintains client business relationships with larger or multiple accounts within MSA's Information Technology Systems and Services (ITSS) division's account base including frequent and direct contact with mid-level to senior-level contacts.
Solicit & engage clients in discussions involving strategic business initiatives & ventures that may involve either funded/non-funded MSA involvement with the prospects of creating new products and/or creating new services
Uses in-depth understanding of client and of MSA core competencies to expand presence in client operations and increase MSA revenue and profitability
Proactively identifies and pursues broader business opportunities with existing client base. Supports new business development sales efforts with potential clients.
Assist in Business Development activities outside of immediate client responsibilities. This may involve: responding to RFPs, creating & making presentations, providing research for ROI & other business justification scenarios, providing product overviews, and providing detailed demonstrations and training
Leads MSA account team in providing client satisfaction and enhancing the business relationship
Serves as the primary contact for client needs beyond day-to-day bug/issues reported
Works with other ITSS division staff to ensure that client needs are being addressed in a timely manner
Requires four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
MBA degree may substitute for two years of relevant experience.
Minimum five years of related account management, sales or client service work.
Successful, sustained experience as a team leader and project manager.
Established record of client satisfaction with deliverables and successful, sustained experience with forming revenue-producing relationships with client contacts in the higher levels of the client’s sales and marketing operations.
Seasoned understanding and use of Information Technology products and services
Experience selling/marketing information technology products and services to Senior Executives
Experience creating account strategies
Superior oral and written communications skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule and OT if necessary
Ability and willingness to travel
Business networking skills with proven experience growing revenue
