Carnegie Science Center is seeking a self-motivated, well-organized individual who loves to work with a variety of people, who has exceptional communication skills, and can handle him or herself with a great deal of poise with customers and team members, in person and on the phone.
The person is responsible for scheduling and managing all aspects of advanced reservations including group visits, outreach programs, and individual reservations. This includes making all arrangements for the visit; tracking and organization of reservations utilizing appropriate databases, spreadsheets and the ticketing system. This individual will be accountable for ensuring the highest level of quality customer service in his/her interactions with all outside callers and internal employees.
Successful candidates should have experience and strong interest in providing exceptional customer service in phone situations and in person. Successful candidates will also have a strong background in business computer software; specific experience with Microsoft Excel, databases and computer ticketing systems is favorable.
The ability and inclination to work in a fast-paced work environment whose specific challenges fluctuate from day-to-day is mandatory.
