Five (5) additional temporary staff are required to validate electronic images. That is, they will look at an image on a computer screen and compare it with the original hard copy for various points of authentication. Images thusly validated are Office of Children, Youth and Families documents related to child welfare referrals, foster care placement and many types of related paperwork. This paperwork is highly confidential.
The Image Validation Clerks will validate a percentage of 30 million images received from a vendor contracted by AIMS to digitize the original paper documents.
Training may included learning the scanning process currently using in the CYF Regional offices.
