Position: Material Requirements Planner Location: Verona, Pa Pay: $40,000 to $45,000 yearly. Type: Contract to hire. Benefits: Company offers benefits package if hired on.
1. Specification 1.1. Review drawings complete material take off as well as generating stock requisitions. 1.2. Demonstrate an understanding of manufacturing/fabrication processes and shop production methodology. 1.3. Collaborate with other members of the Operations Group to plan, design, and implement practical and cost effective solutions. 1.4. Participate in project scope reviews when asked by Department Manager. 1.5. Serve as a mentor to Project Managers and Designers/Detailers under the supervision of Department Manager. 1.6. Contribute to continuous improvement in alignment with the Company Quality Management System. 1.7. Participate in any and all mandatory training as assigned by the Department Manager. 1.8. Participate in any and all committees as assigned by the Department Manager (If needed). 1.9. Complete Fabrication Drawings as assigned/Directed by Department Manager.
2. Responsibilities 2.1. On a daily basis review drawings, perform material takeoffs from approved Submittal or Fabrication drawings. 2.2. Produce Stock Requisition as directed by Department Manager. 2.3. Coordinate shipping with Logistics Manager only if asked by Department Manager. 2.4. Communicate what parts are to be produced by the CNC Programming Department and how they are to be processed (Laser, Router, Turret, Shear, etc..). 2.5. Communicate any parts or services that are being bought out and the logistics thereof. 2.6. Produce CNC cut files and Nesting for Fabrication. 2.7. Create Fabrication Drawings. 2.8. Assist Detailer in creating parts for fabrication. 2.9. Complete nesting for all materials whether processed in house or outsourced. 2.10. Develop Bill of Materials (BOM).
4. Qualifications 4.1. Education 4.1.1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred (or equivalent years of related work experience min. 5 years). 4.1.2. Strong desire to have a meaningful impact on a project or project/program team. 4.2. Experience & Job Training 4.2.1. 5+ years of relevant work experience. 4.2.2. Excellent working knowledge of metal fabrication. 4.2.3. Excellent working knowledge of construction/installation processes.
