SUMMARY We are currently working with a privately held manufacturer to identify an HR / Payroll Coordinator. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a full benefits package and a Monday - Friday daylight schedule.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources / Safety, the HR / Payroll Coordinator is responsible for providing Human Resources and Payroll support for approximately 200 hourly and salaried employees. Payroll is biweekly for hourly employees and once a month for salaried employees.
POSITION Responsibilities include: • Accurately maintains and updates Hourly Employee information in the Human Resources Information System. • Responsible for accurately maintaining the Hourly Employee personnel files, both physically and electronically. • Prepares and distributes monthly reports, including but not limited to, Attendance, Performance Participation Plan, Man Hours Report and Production Participation Award. • Responsible for the accurate processing of the hourly payroll. • Responsible for time and attendance enrollment, company vacation tracking and processing. • Responsible for paperwork and tracking of all hourly pay rate changes. • Assists in the administration of all benefits, including medical, prescription, dental, life insurance, short term disability, AD&D, voluntary benefits and COBRA. • Ensures that the clerical end of Benefits Administration – enrollment, changes, monthly premium payments and COBRA Administration – are accurately and promptly administered. • Types, posts and tracks Job Posting Notices. • Assists Human Resources Department with Hourly employee orientation and Affirmative Action efforts, as needed. • Coordinates temporary staffing (i.e., summer help). • Maintains confidentiality at the highest level. • Types and files documents as necessary for the Department Managers. • Assists Department Managers with employee functions and events, as needed. • Updates the electronic communication board daily. • Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules. • Must have ability and desire to work with others. • Meets attendance requirements. • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
REQUIREMENTS • High School diploma or G.E.D. • Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources and Payroll required. • UltiPro or other HRIS systems experience preferred. • Computer literate / data entry experience. • Proven experience in problem solving. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
