SUMMARY We are currently working with a specialty manufacturer to identify a Customer Care Specialist. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a base salary and benefits package.
In summary, the Customer Care Specialist is responsible for developing strong customer relationships and providing customer service / inside sales support to a specific group of accounts. This is a fast paced department where priorities shift daily and the ability juggle many balls in the air at once, and respond proactively to customer needs, is required. The Customer Care Specialist is a customer centric position, which also requires internal interaction with sales, marketing, production managers, and others in the customer care and technology departments.
POSITION Duties will include: • Processing customer orders, order changes, and cancellations. • Managing, tracking, expediting customer orders. • Updating and maintaining customer information. • Investigating customer order issues. • Proactively resolving customer complaints. • Processing export orders and verify export documentation. • Working closely with sales representatives / broker to assist with customer needs. • Maintaining customer information in SAP system and other tracking methods. • Maintaining a high level of data entry accuracy to assist in error free delivery of customer orders. • Understanding / Predicting customer needs based on knowledge of customer and of product lines.
REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of customer service experience. Manufacturing / Technical industry experience highly preferred. • Computer savvy individual with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Experience using SAP or other MRP / ERP software highly desirable. • High aptitude for attention to detail, accuracy, negotiating and problem solving. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
