POSITION TITLE: INTERMEDIATE BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST
DEPARTMENT: BISD-MARKETING BUSINESS SERVICES
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent experience required
Three to five years of business systems analysis experience required; participation on at least one significant team-oriented systems project or an understanding of business needs and practices comparable to an experienced member of the user community
Experience applying current business systems analysis methodologies preferred (i.e., scope definition and change management, requirements gathering, business analysis, functional specifications and process modeling) preferred
Knowledge of and / or experience working with relational database preferred
Experience modifying or writing Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred
Experience working with MS Windows based applications required
Some familiarity with SharePoint preferred
Familiarity with analytics applications as they apply to website, email and third-party application metrics preferred
Knowledge of mutual funds preferred as well as regulatory issues relating to the industry (e.g., FINRA, SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley) preferred
Solve business problems by performing business systems analysis, preparing specifications, and testing for relevant business process modifications and applications and enhancements.
Initiate and coordinate communication with Information Technology group and business staff and management as required to facilitate the most effective and efficient solution to a problem.
Develop and publish functional specifications for applications for which the team has product ownership responsibility
Develop and publish test plans (may include preparation of test data)
Determine and prepare estimates for completion of assigned tasks.
Provide data and reports to assist business areas in making decisions
Prepare business and functional requirements documents and all other required documentation as outlined in Federated's Software Development Lifecycle Process.
Provide general consulting and support to business unit clients
Evaluate business needs and recommend an appropriate solution based on internal and external cost, technical complexity, implementation readiness, maintenance and achieving the business unit’s objectives

Will be required to work periodically at the Warrendale location
