We are seeking a dynamic, detail oriented individual to join our Manufacturing team located at our Global headquarters in Jefferson Hills, PA. KJLC is a growing global manufacturer and distributor of vacuum technology.
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for various QC duties including: ensuring products conform to specifications and meet KJLC standards, inspecting work that is in-process, keeping a quality database of all errors and analyzing the reasons for those errors. This person must be an expert on all aspects related to the department. They are also responsible for the administration and control of the Quality Control department and its staff.

Excellent communication skills with the customer base to represent KJLC regarding deep knowledge of our process, resolution of challenges, presentation of our capabilities, etc.
Deep understanding of helium leak check technology
Be proficient in the understanding & operation of the FARO Arm & related software
Extensive knowledge of current & future innovative inspection techniques, inspection equipment, etc. in order to reduce inspection times on KJLC products
Work with colleagues in a team approach to address complex issues and implement process improvements
Manage and implement all administrative duties tied to our Quality Management System such as analyzing hold tags, improving work instructions and implementing process improvements.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection and evaluation, using equipment and established quality methods and processes. Verify compliance of materials and components to specifications.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of standard and complex parts and components per established acceptance criteria and requirements of engineering drawing specifications. Complete inspection forms and update logs as necessary.
Extensive knowledge with FARO and helium leak check equipment
Bachelor’s degree in related field and or relevant and equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years experience in Mechanical Inspection, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
Knowledgeable in statistical process control techniques. I.E. FMEA, Control Planning, Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and print reading.
Excellent project management and problem solving skills.
Proficient in the use of computer systems and software.
Strong knowledge of statistical quality applications, metrology, and manufacturing and quality control standards.
