In summary, the Content Marketing Specialist will work with the Director of Marketing to create messaging, write and create content for articles, brochures, emails, social media posts, ads, and the website, including meta descriptions, headlines, etc. for SEO and readability.
POSITION Responsibilities include: • Accountability for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention. • Collaborating across departments and functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost. • This role requires a publisher mindset: writing and creating the content their audience is looking for and then optimizing the path to conversion. • Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone. • Developing and managing editorial calendar and organization workflows. • Channel management of digital content hubs and all supporting social channels including email / newsletter distribution. This person must understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why. • Measurement and optimization of the program will be required on a regular and ongoing basis. • Working with all creative resources including designers, writers, and other personnel. • Integration of content programs with campaigns to drive demand. • Reports on the program approaches and results will be required.
REQUIREMENTS • BA/BS OR equivalent working experience. • Experience creating content (writing and pulling together posts) for the web and growing a social audience. • Basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement. • Experience with WordPress, Google analytics, and the top social channels. • Familiarity with B-to-B is a plus. • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume. • Ability to analyze, create, present content and social performance. • Project management skills and understanding how to manage priorities with a focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales. • Some travel may be required. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
