One of our preferred health system clients has a full time hire position for a Senior Data Scientist that will mine patterns with data that is available internally and outside to the client, to apply scientific method to evaluate and develop testable solutions.
Use parameters from business objectives to identify relevant source data that are internal and/or external to client.
Generates data insights by conducting data exploration and apply quantitative techniques such as inferential models, segmentation analysis, time series forecasting, or synthetic control experiments to identify hidden patterns.
Utilizes these data insights as inputs to generate data products, a process that returns algorithmically generated results.
Will enable data driven decisions that are directly connected to a business or clinical objective and generate a measurable financial benefit.
Eight years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which professional capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.
Prior experience with the following technologies:
Reporting tools such as Tableau, SSRS, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, WebFOCUS
Languages – Java, C, C++, .NET, SAS, SQL, MDX
ETL, data ingestion, and multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, de-normalized models, handling "slowly-changing" dimensions/attributes
Big data (NoSQL, unstructured, semi-structured) – Cloudera, HDInsights, HortonWorks, Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Imapala, Spark, MapReduce
MPP & distributed database development - IBM PureData, Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL
Statistical tools such as R, Python, Scala, and/or SAS for developing predictive analytics
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, required
Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, preferred
