This position serves to build the Sigma Resources’ book of business and drive sales, mentor sales staff, and work closely with recruiting operations and senior management to successfully and profitably deliver technology staff augmentation, business solutions, managed services, and projects for our customers.
This position reports to the COO/Company President.
This is a non-exempt position. The compensation structure includes a base salary, commissions and bonuses based on meeting targets.
This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Pittsburgh office.
Create, forecast, implement, and adjust sales strategy for regional Pittsburgh space
Manage the customer relationship and continually foster new ways to upgrade Sigma offerings to clients by integrating themselves as a partner
Understand and articulate business pain points with executive level audiences
Prospect, build relationships, and use network contacts to build revenue for the business
Identify future opportunities and actively seek out those opportunities working with senior management and various fulfillment centers of the business to deliver client solutions, whether those are staff augmentation related or solution-based, consultative, or project-driven.
Maintain an up-to-date scope of knowledge on trends and services affecting the technology industry as well as the scope of the competition’s reach in the industry
Willingness to travel around the greater Pittsburgh area to meet with clients and generate business opportunities; willingness to work in the office 1-2 days/week as business requires
Manage multiple on-going pursuits with great organization and utilize tools to provide senior management with forecasts of business generation
Manage change efforts with customers and staff as the company’s business lines evolve
Maintain a positive focus and resilient demeanor while competing for local businessPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with entrepreneurship
Existing achievement of selling technology services with a large pipeline that can translate to Sigma business opportunities
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS
This role is performed in both an office and requires the ability to drive oneself and others as needed to appointments in the greater Pittsburgh area. This will require computer and phone work with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing – including frequent talking, hearing, writing, typing, reading, and comprehension. The employee frequently is required to drive, sit, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms/hands.

Hold a minimum of seven years of experience in business development prospecting and selling forms of technology staff augmentation, business solutions, project deliverables, and outsourced lines of business revenue
Our ideal candidate will come to the Company bringing a rolodex of clients and strong experience managing sales cycles to meet targets with a strong background in self-management and performance
Proven track record in revenue generation and building business for a technology company with varied and sometimes, long sales cycles
Possess strong relationship building skills including identifying areas of business opportunity in a relationship with a potential customer and articulating how a specialized technology company can successfully provide solutions for the need
Demonstrated credibility, consultation, and results-orientation in gaining market share
Must hold a strong technical aptitude and strong business acumen skills to prospect and convey credible value propositions to potential customers
General working knowledge of recruiting cycle and using data tracking and reporting functions in ATS, TMS, or AMS systems and social recruiting tools
Additional Salary Information: Base plus commissions and senior management bonus structure
