The Product Marketing Communications Specialist assists the Product Marketing Communications Manager and the Marketing Department in driving revenue growth through timely and creative alignment and execution of product promotions. Contributes communications and market/channel knowledge expertise to marketing and product development teams to drive brand consistency across all product marketing efforts. Leverages the expertise of leadership, market managers and product owners to establish thought leadership. Ensures product campaign communications align with corporate brand strategy. Works closely with product team to ensure deep understanding of competitive positioning and ensure that all product promotions leverage competitive differentiators.
Some of the Things You Will Do?
Product Marketing Communications - work closely with Business Line Heads, Market Managers and Product Owners to build a deep understanding of new products and target customer base. Collaborate with product launch team to select optimal marketing communications strategies to ensure maximum impact of product launches and promotions, e.g. direct marketing, trade show launches, webinars, SEM campaigns.
Product Promotions - create ongoing marketing plans for assigned products to support revenue growth goals. Work with Manager and other team members to develop product launch artifacts including web copy, literature pieces, press releases and media kits, e-mail announcements, SEM campaigns, webcasts, micro sites and other strategies.
Internal Product Communications - develop and execute campaigns, artifacts and social media content to keep Confluence employees informed about our products and the value they are delivering to the market and celebrate product successes.
Channel Marketing - implement initiatives that focus on channel marketing, e.g. marketing our products to our clients’ clients; develops channel specific marketing plans and support materials. Coordinate with Sales and Market Management to advise business channel partners on optimal message content and timing for different customer/stakeholder segments.
Thought Leadership - establish market/product thought leadership by contributing content for corporate blog, LinkedIn and other appropriate social media venues
Sales Enablement- coach Sales in effective communications technique to successfully support launching efforts. Develop Sales enablement tools and templates to support effective launches such as talking points, presentations which are focused on a specific step of the selling process.
What Experience Do You Need?
Bachelor degree in Marketing, English, Business or Communications with four or more years B2B software product marketing and communications experience (financial services and international marketing experience preferred).
