Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Billing Coordinator II in the Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV. Shift: 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Under the direction of the billing attorneys and billing secretaries, the Billing Coordinator II responsibilities will consist of performing the billing functions as needed for billing attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities: • Perform monetary changes on prebills including write downs, transfers and splits of time entries for assigned billing attorneys. Includes verification and approval for write-downs that exceed the established maximum thresholds and transfers of charges to firm clients. Close client and matter numbers upon request of attorneys. • Submission of electronic bills. • Telephone support for secretaries, attorneys, managers, and accounting staff in all offices. • Supporting department hotline and general e-mail box. • Work with accounts receivable to resolve unidentified and unapplied cash receipts. • Establish and maintain fee rate and disbursements set ups according to client protocols and guidelines. • Update and maintain client notes in ARCS data base for monthly WIP and AR Exception Report meetings. • Provide support for billing coordinators and collections analysts, including filing, pulling on and off site backup, reconciling accounts and client follow-up. • Special projects as needed (i.e. maintaining FED data base notes for clients, scrubbing new matters to ensure correct setup).
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. • One to three years of similar work experience in a professional services firm. • Proficiency with Excel/MS Word and Windows environment. • Competency in using complex billing system. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work with many people requesting a variety of tasks.
