Net Health's Integration Engineers operate on the cutting-edge of the Healthcare IT industry, providing flexible interoperability solutions to healthcare providers by interfacing with numerous software platforms. The Net Health Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and deploying interoperability components, with a focus on interfacing with HIS, PMS, Billing and EMR systems.
THIS POSITION CAN BE SEATED IN NASHVILLE, PITTSBURGH OR ALTOONA
What You Need To Do:
Develop, install and configure HL7 interfaces based on customer's workflow and configuration capabilities; including ADT, Billing, Results, Orders and Scheduling interfaces
Install a full range of software solutions and work with client IT resources to ensure products are deployed successfully in the field
Manage several projects at once over lengthy timelines
Use project management tools, including project plans and implementation checklists, to provide insight on interface implementation progress and to ensure that project deadlines are completed within expected timeframe
Support required code changes and maintenance of interfaces after go-live, including after hour support on an as-needed basis
Design and implement a customized testing strategy for all new interfaces, depending on customer's workflow and configuration capabilities
Act as main point of contact for interface validation, ensuring that all required interface functionality has been tested appropriately using a dynamic approach and methodical testing habits
Handle any custom development request for interface functionality outside of the scope of our standard interface templates, including SQL stored procedure updates and scripting changes through Python or VB.NET
Create and execute necessary commands in SQL Server to augment installations, assist in troubleshooting and import and update client data as needed

What We Need From You:
B.S. in CIS, Information Technology or Computer Science recommended
5+ years of experience working in healthcare IT industry
3-5 years of experience with HL7 message structure in versions 2.2 and 2.3
Experience with HIS systems such as EPIC, Meditech, Cerner and McKesson
Thorough understanding of Windows networking concepts, such as VPNs, firewall/router configuration, shared network folder configurations and FTP and SFTP file transfers
Understanding of data translation concepts (e.g. Crosswalk tables)
Project Management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well with clients, responding in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Experience with SQL Server databases with an emphasis on writing T-SQL queries or stored procedures
Experience with an object-oriented programming language, such as VB.NET, C#, Python scripting, etc. recommended
Experience with interface engines, such as MDLink, Mirth, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, eGate or Iguana recommended
