JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE: This position is responsible for managing PC based applications for distributed services. This requires a motivated individual with good communication skills, analytical and problem resolution capabilities. The job will entail application design, programming, system administration and end-user support. This position is the main contact with the outside software vendor and will report all issues to management and banks’ business clients.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / OBJECTIVES: * Research new modules, technologies and incorporate new tools into existing/new applications at the direction of the manager; responsible for teaching, sharing, cross training technology and skills with the department analysts. * Maintain and support the Residential Lending loan applications. -Plan and coordinate application changes -Create and maintain reports and loan documents -System performance monit oring * Manage and support software vendor applications for distributed systems, which include project management for software updates and releases. * Implement application changes: work with software vendor and LAN administration to install system changes. * Manage, develop and test applications: create and enhance current applications for business units. * Participate in system design: define the architecture, components, modules, interfaces, and data for a system to satisfy specified requirements. * Follow information technology policies and guidelines; directs and prepares systems and user documentation; prepare application process diagrams and business flows. * Create system test plans: work with business unit and application to document application testing. * Prepare documentation for users and information technology support units, and implement documentation and user manuals: create and review business process, software modification, project management and training documentation. * Create and execute system design specifications with the business units and work with software vendor to create/enhance application. * Perform application performance statistics and monitor daily processing files. * Solves problems that tend to arise in the normal course of business, including off-hour support. * Communicate with co-workers and supervisor * Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: * Must possess a degree with an IT concentration. Will consider commensurate. * Minimum three years IT experience required. * Report writing experience with Crystal Reporting and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) required * SQL Query knowledge required * Experience with end user support and an understanding of the business needs from the application is required for this position. * Experience with management of a Mortgage application preferred * Project management experience is required as candidate will manage and coordinate bank application projects, including updates to the application and will work with business client, LAN Admin, Information Security, Teleprocessing, PC Development and Systems and Programming. * Leadership capabilities and PCs and Database Management experience preferred * Experience with Graphic packages and Microsoft Windows products preferred * Ability to work independently and with internal clients to develop reports and applications * Possess good analytical skills * Excellent communication skills
