The Sr IT Business Analyst – eCommerce is primarily responsible for acting as a liaison between the eCommerce department and IT. You will gather business requirements, provide guidance and develop a good understanding of the processes and technologies being used to run an eCommerce site. You will partner with various resources within the business, IT and external vendors to ensure the needs of the eCommerce team are being met. You must possess strong working knowledge of eCommerce operations and the systems typically used to support them in a retail environment. Finally, this role will need to be highly skilled in communication, presentation and critical thinking while possessing a Point of View regarding their areas of responsibility.
Develop Business Cases:
Develops business cases
Develop initial investment cost estimates
Calculate the initial ROI and ongoing cost of a proposed solution.
Develop moderately complex requirements for solutions by working closely with the business and appropriate IT teams.
Use Business Requirements Documentation standards.
Support solutions design by providing insight at design sessions with IT teams to help translate requirements into workable business solutions.
Recommend the need for additional data and/or services to address key business issues.
Research third party solutions as needed.
Deployment / Support / QA:
Support solutions integration and user acceptance testing.
Provide post implementation support to business.
Develop complex user acceptance criteria.
Serve as a liaison between business and development to manage requests for additional scope or process changes.

Understand the needs of both internal and external customers, solicit feedback

5+ years of relevant experience and 7+ years of IT experience
Retail Experience with cross functional experience and specific experience in eCommerce
1+ years in business case development.
Experience interacting with executive leadership
Bachelor Degree in Business Admin, Computer Science, MIS or relevant field
