Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Pitch & Pursuits Coordinator position in the Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV.
Shift: Monday – Wednesday 2 pm to 11 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 6 pm
The Pitch & Pursuits (P&P) Coordinator is a member of the Business Development & Sales department that supports and serves the objectives of the department’s P&P Team. The P&P Coordinator’s primary role is to support and assist firm strategy under the direction of the P&P Team Manager and to coordinate projects efficiently and effectively for the P&P Team and Business Development & Sales department. The P&P Coordinator will support P&P Team, Business Development & Sales Department and firmwide initiatives.
Qualifications: • Bachelor or Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience • Prior law firm or professional services firm experience a plus • Excellent word-processing computer and Internet skills necessary; high proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as SharePoint • Superior attention to detail and proofreading skills. Applicants may be required to complete a short writing and or copyediting test • Strong communication skills • Ability to adapt to changing list of priorities with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills • Action-oriented, intellectually sharp, capable and agile • Builds rapport well among team and lawyers and is a good listener; can work comfortably within P&P Team as well as with other staff and lawyers • Highly productive, flexible and performs well under tight deadlines and multi-tasking situations • Accepts accountability and takes ownership of tasks • Has the functional and technical knowledge to do the job at a high level of accomplishment; picks up technical matters easily
