Principal (Essential) Duties: 1. Conducts routine laboratory and field work on selected research and development projects and product development efforts 2. Assists in development of procedures and design of experiments 3. Aligns, calibrates, tests and maintains equipment 4. Conducts experiments, evaluates/interprets data (including statistical analyses), records/verifies/replicates results and reports findings 5. Assists with technical writing tasks (i.e., reports, proposals, patents, application notes, etc.) and preparation of presentations materials 6. Presents ongoing work and research to fellow team members as well as at scientific meetings and conferences 7. Demonstrates high ethical standards in performance of job functions 8. All other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Basic skills including critical thinking, science, writing, and complex problem solving • Proficient in use of personal computers with experience using the following software products: o Microsoft Office Suite o Matlab and/or Mathcad a plus • Strong written and oral communication skills • Willing/able to travel • Strong work ethic • USA citizenship
Experience/Education Requirements: • Degree in Natural Science, Chemistry and/or Physics preferred • 0-5 years experience • Able and willing to obtain Security Clearance • Past project management experience a plus
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: • Perform medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. • See and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity; standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting and other similar tasks requiring physical activity and repetitive motions. • Operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipment. • Work setting is primarily office based but conditions may involve limited exposure to chemicals, emitted radiation, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances when in a laboratory or field environment. • Travel up to 30% of time representing ChemImage
