Maintain and Develop ChemImage's competitive advantage for new and existing products through support and continued development.
Leads research and completes projects in one or more research areas.
Act as a principal source for competitive alternative technology trends, new product and application solutions.
Suggests research projects to management.
Schedules, projects and allots personnel, time and equipment in accordance with the Product Development Plan.
Prepares internal research reports, may prepare manuscripts for publication and present findings at scientific meetings. Serve as the technical liaison between sales personnel and customers.
Trains, supports professional development of and mentors lower-level research staff.
Directs independent research activities, including laboratory and field research, project development, technical support, and management and evaluation of subordinates.
Coordinates, develops and modifies research products and related activities.
Develops research criteria and provides expert advice on new products, concepts and projects.
Completes all other tasks as assigned by Management.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Perform medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
See and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity; standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting and other similar tasks requiring physical activity and repetitive motions.
Operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipment.
Work setting is primarily office based but conditions may involve limited exposure to chemicals, emitted radiation, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances when in a laboratory or field environment.
Travel up to 30% of time representing ChemImage.
