Opening with a client in the Pittsburgh area for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
Software QA Engineer responsibilities include estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.
Responsibilities of the Software QA Engineer
Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Respond to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
4+ years of related work experience in the title or real estate industry preferred
Experience with all aspects of the System Development Lifecycle; knowledge of successful software development methodologies and best practices
Ability to solve problems across domains (business, functional, technical, and operational)
Ability to analyze complex concepts and describe them thoroughly and precisely
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain large sets of documentation (writing samples appreciated); a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word or other documentation tools; knowledge of HTML and HTML editing tools a plus.
Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills; strong attention to detail
Excellent project management and time management skills
Strong ability to build consensus; ability to influence others
