The IT Support Specialist’s role is to ensure proper computer systems and network operations so that the end users can accomplish their tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests, implementing security guidelines, ordering IT equipment as needed, managing on/off boarding of staff. In addition this person will support the Application Engineers in both the support and fulfillment process for Voci’s customer base.
Field incoming help requests from end users via both email and telephone in a courteous manner;
Implementing IT Security policies, procedures, and tools;
Documenting IT related policies and procedures on the Company Intranet as needed;
Perform hands-on fixes (local and remote) at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications;
Manage the office network, internet, phone system, printers, scanners, website, office equipment and systems;
Assist in the shipping and receiving of computer systems for both staff and customers;
Responsible for setting up work stations and new user accounts on the domain as well as setting up new e-mail accounts, resetting passwords and reviewing accounts for activity and necessary purging;
Migrating company computing environment from Ad hoc to an Enterprise design to support employee growth.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with focus in Information Systems or Computer Science;
Minimum 2 years professional experience, software/start-up environment a plus;
Relevant Certifications in MSFT, Networking and Security;
Experience working in a Technology based company comprised primarily of developers desired.
