Our client is looking to hire a Sr. Project Manager in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This person will manage Cyber Security and Infrastructure projects utilizing client’s project management systems and tools.The individual must have Bachelor or Masters in IT or related discipline plus a technical background w/Infrastructure...not merely project management.
Manage Cyber Security and Infrastructure projects utilizing client's project management systems and tools.
Manage matrixed project team members to ensure all projects are managed based on approved client project standards and processes and are successfully completed on-time and with appropriate level of quality.
Use appropriate project management techniques / methodologies(PMI/CMMI) to include:
Project plans, risk management, and project tailoring; support quality audits and EVM.
Support projects throughout the project lifecycle to meet project, program, and agency project requirements; support process improvements and business goals
Perform project administrative tasks; identify, validate, and manage milestones; collect, analyze, and manage PEP metrics and supporting documentation; maintain projects in agency tracking system
Identify and manage stakeholders; manage project and business communications; lead and coordinate project and business meetings
Establish and manage project and business documentation, including presentations, analyses, reports, minutes, delivery packages, and customer approvals
Ability to meet government security eligibility requirements for public trustaccess and HSPD-12 background check.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
10+ years of professional experience in managing IT projects (primarily in the areas of Cyber Security and Infrastructure). 7+ years of managing and leading teams with direct and matrix reports
Proven experience in requirement gathering, fit/gap analysis, design documentation, and planning/execution of unit, integration, and regression tests following the software development life cycle process
Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills with the ability to adapt skills to various analytical situations
Strong desire to succeed in a very dynamic environment
Ability to interact with other members of the ITOMS team and with Federal clients / staff.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Ability to use MS Project, MS Office Suite applications to include Visio.
