Scope: The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is responsible for developing and managing the relationship between IT and business operations. This includes assisting in the prioritization of projects, ensuring projects align with technology that delivers the maximum return on investment (ROI), and directing IT strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy. The BRM reports to the CIO.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: ·Develops and executes technology strategies/projects that provide a competitive edge for the business unit and delivers the maximum ROI. ·Assists business unit leaders in prioritizing projects and prepares the cost-benefit analysis for those projects. ·Manages and provides direction to the business application team, including the SAP team, responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading systems and applications in support of business operations. ·Manages all IT projects through the project management cycle for the assigned business unit. ·Contributes to the IT annual budgeting and planning process for the assigned business units. Controls and tracks IT expenditures against the budget. ·Executes Service Level Agreements (SLA) in support of delivering high performance and quality service to the applicable business units. ·Ensures the business units understand the technology solution, overall solution delivery, and compliance to governance processes, architecture standards, etc. ·Collaborates with the other BRMs to identify, establish and standardize, where applicable, technology applications across the network. ·Develops and educates the business unit on IT innovations and awareness programs. ·Develops, coordinates and manages project action plans and activities leveraging the IT resources across the network. ·Develops and distributes IT key performance indicator (KPI) reports and provides recommendations for improvement. ·Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
5 years of equivalent work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ·Strong knowledge of ERP software, preferably SAP, in a manufacturing environment. ·Ability to evaluate business operations and implement technology that delivers strategic growth and maximizes IT investments. ·Proven experience with business and technical requirement analyses, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. ·Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and process control. ·Understanding of application development and software development life-cycle concepts. ·Self-starter with strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong attention to detail. ·Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills. ·Ability to understand and present detailed and complex business requirements and solutions. ·Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, providing the appropriate level of detail and information. ·Strong problem solving, analytical methods and technical skills. ·Ability to promote and participate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. ·Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and implement projects in a high-pressure environment.
