We are assisting our client with a search for a National Sales Manager. Our client is seeking a National Sales Manager who will drive and manage their strategic growth initiatives. Interested candidates must have a leadership style that is goal oriented, strategic as well as tactical, and the ability to motivate, and mentor a sales team as well as engaging cross-functional teams.This individual will have a proven track record of sales management success in a high-tech business and previous experience with implementing effective sales systems that achieve success and results.
Develop and implement effective sales and market strategies to meet companies strategic growth plan including: maintaining existing accounts, and advising and guiding the existing sales team inthe most effective use of resources for the purpose of meeting the growth goals.
Initiate, develop, and implement programs and projects intended to generate new growth funnels, find new customers, and strategically develop sales systems to maximize sales.
Ensure that the team consistently meets sales performance metrics and revenue goals Prepare forecasting reports, KPI dashboards and other statistics to management team in sales analysis and strategy development
Assess existing sales team and structure and continue to build and mentor sales team by identifying key roles, optimizing processes and implementing tools
Directly supervises corporate sales staff as well as sales staff across the US.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelors degree in business or technical field.
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in sales management in the industrial automation sector, such as: manufacturing automation, robotics, PLC’s, or visions systems.
Ability to effectively communicate by presenting information and responding to questions from leaders and senior leaders, employees, and customers.
Previous proven strategic experience at taking a sales organization to the next level.
Proficiency in MS Office as well as formal CRM system.
