This position will be a Firmwide technical resource for the smartphone mobility program inclusive of the current Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions: Blackberry and Good Technologies. This includes Blackberry & Good infrastructure installation/support/maintenance, smartphone support, mobile applications support, and other related mobile systems support. Routinely interacts with other IT teams (SQL, exchange, network, internet, virus, security, etc) as it relates to mobility. Work directly with our mobile vendors outside of ReedSmith (Blackberry, Good, mobile carriers, other vendors, etc). Provide third tier support to our users beyond the IT Help Desk and local IT support. Conducts research, tests, makes recommendations, and develops roll out plans of new and/or upgraded mobile systems and devices.
Serve as a subject matter expert for all technical needs of the Firm's smartphone program which includes Blackberry & Good systems continuity, mobile security, mobile handheld support, mobile application support, and overall functionality and performance of such solutions.
Ensure mobile solutions functionality/performance is maintained by creating test plans, coordinating pilot groups, documenting and communicating results, and suggesting relevant plans of action.
Explore & develop new mobile solutions as needed. Stay abreast of current trends and new developments. Conduct research and make recommendations regarding implementing new and/or improved hardware, software, applications, and mobile devices.
Work with other IT teams as needed to ensure mobile solutions operate within expected levels of functionality & performance.
Troubleshoot & escalate issues regarding mobile solutions. Engage and leverage vendor support as needed to assist with problem escalation/resolution.
Create/maintain IT support documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) for mobile solutions utilized by Firmwide IT support.
Participate in monthly mobility team meetings for education and knowledge transfer purposes.
Participate in other meetings (projects/issues/support/etc) as needed for mobility purposes.
Coordinate off-site mobility needs such as aircard management, and provide mobile support as needed for attorney retreats, off-site trials, etc. as needed.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Additional continuing education, training, and/or certification in relevant fields strongly preferred.
Relevant IT experience in a support capacity role dealing with IT peers and/or end users is a must.
Mobile smartphone (Blackberry, iPhone, Android, etc. ) systems & handhelds support is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with MS Office (Excel, Word), networks, active directory, exchange, SQL, and mobile applications is preferred.

Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills. Capable of working individually and as part of a team. Attentive to detail. Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer-service focus and attitude at all times. Able and willing to travel via car, train, and airplane. Excellent telephone etiquette and command of the English language.
