Contract to hire opportunity located in downtown Pittsburgh
Commerical collections experience REQUIRED
The Credit & Collections Specialist is primarily responsible to ensure timely collection of all amounts due under customer contracts. The second primary function is to assist the Manager of Financial Reporting & Treasury with accumulating, recording, and summarizing customer and contractual data in the Company’s books and records.
This position must have the appropriate personal communication skills necessary to collect amounts due from customers and communicate with coworkers.
Lead Collections Function:
Execute the company’s standard accounts receivable collection policy and procedures to ensure the timely collection of all amounts due under license and other contractual agreements with customers
Contact customers on status of current and past due invoices
Update CRM software on all customer communications
Process Statements per Clients/Auditor request
Prepare collection letters notifying customers of technical support suspension
Prepare a weekly Collections Report that is distributed to management
Contact Customers for Tax Exemption Status, update Customer Tax information in Softrax, Tax Audit Spreadsheet, Microsoft Dynamics and Physical files.
Assist with Auditor request and preparation
Assist customer Accounts Payable as needed for research
Reconcile and Research on Client Accounts
Prepare Check request for Client Refunds
Train incoming AR Collections Clerks
Contact for overseas collections/UK
Work Closely with CSM to solve issues on Client Accounts
Request valid Purchase Orders
Process vendor Account request
Assist Assistant Controller/Manager of Financial Reporting and Treasury in development of a credit policy
Primary contact with 3rd party collection agency
Administrative & Clerical Support to Home Office Personnel:
On an as-needed basis, assist the Administrative Assistant in meeting the secretarial and clerical support needs of the Company
