Work across organizational boundaries to document and develop functional and technical specifications and support for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of new Essbase and Planning processes.
Support monthly forecast, annual budget, and multi-year planning & ongoing financial analysis initiatives.
Develop, enhance, and maintain Essbase and Planning structures, programs, processes and interfaces.
Ability to work well with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
Develop and deliver training to application users on an ongoing basis.
Evaluate new technologies, processes, etc., for suitability of use and implementation.
Administer the Hyperion environments
a) 5 years or more of total development experience. Understanding of multi dimensional and relational methodologies, OLAP principles, approaches, technologies, and architectures including the concepts, designs and usage of Enterprise Performance Management systems. b) Demonstrated best practices for Hyperion application design and implementation c) 4+ years experience with Oracle Hyperion tools such as Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Reports, Web Analysis, Smartview, MaxL etc., preferably in Hyperion Financial industry and in EPM 11 suite of products. Extensive experience in Hyperion Planning, building and testing of Hyperion ESSBASE scripts, build and troubleshoot Essbase Outlines, Load Rules and Scripts (Calc Scripts, MaxL scripts, business rules and batch scripts). Design, develop and maintain Financial Reports, Web Analysis and Excel add-in templates. d) 1+ years experience working with relational database technologies developing queries and writing code with MS SQL Server or Oracle relational databases. Demonstrated experience in validating data from relational sources and tying with multi dimensional data sources. e) Demonstrated (reference-able) analytical capabilities.
a) Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of business and IT organizations. b) Work well in a team-oriented environment managing multiple priorities, following a project plan and meeting project delivery dates. c) Highly organized individual with excellent decision making, analytical, problem solving and presentation skills. d) Experience working as an implementation team member with critical individual contributor responsibilities. e) Physical data architecture, design, modeling, integration, and reporting experience. f) Experience with Performance Tuning. g) Experience with various SDLC methodologies. h) BS degree in Computer Science or MIS. MBA or MS preferred.
