All Lines/Lantek is seeking an IT Service Technician II. Your role will be to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.
Field issues and requests from end users via telephone, web system or e-mail in a timely and courteous manner
Schedule and perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
Analyze, research and perform problem solving and resolution of issues.
Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
Prioritize tasks and escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician
Schedule and perform preventative actions and maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue and the resolution
Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users
Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
Assist with developing PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals specifications, standards and configurations
Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
Orders computer supplies
Education and/or experience:
A minimum of 3 years of related experience
Understanding of organizations goals and objectives.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Self-motivation with strong initiative and an attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends.
Strong listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Knowledge of current technical protocols and standards.
Strong documentation skills.
Basic understanding of technology change control.
Ability to plan and schedule tasks for simple projects up to three months in duration.
