Job Purpose: Grow, train, and manage the sales team across the US ensuring that the team hits quotas and adheres to sales metric tracking.
Work closely with Product Managers, LOB Director, Account Managers and other key individuals within the organization to develop comprehensive sales strategy
Formulate, communicate and implement an integrated capture strategy providing a clear and persuasive justification for awards
Lead, motivate and energize sales team members to produce winning capture efforts
Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, new business, sales, and other matters related to new revenue generation
Provide market feedback to leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate new business and project development ideas
Manage a portfolio of accounts
Use an existing network of industry contacts to generate new business
Manage the work of account managers and the distribution of territories
Manage and accurately report on the forecast of the business unit
Achieve sales targets and manage/report on sales conversion metrics
Deliver sales presentations to high-level executives
Attend client meetings and trade shows serving as primary sales voice of the organization
Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Travel to trade shows and conferences as requested by organization management.
Travel to customer sites as necessary.
Perform sedentary work - exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity; standing, walking and other similar tasks requiring physical activity.
Operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipment.
Work setting is primarily office based but conditions may involve limited exposure to chemicals, emitted radiation, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances when in a laboratory environment.
