Hello, I have a new role for a Sr. Collaboration Engineer looking for someone with extensive experience in CISCO Unity and CISCO Unified Communications Manager. This is a full time, direct hire role.
Must be capable of working independently, while at the same time demonstrating a collaborative and collegial work style. Must possess a high degree of accountability, and commitment to meeting customer and management expectations.
Must be able to conduct short-and long-term planning to meet current and future Unified Communications/Voice over IP requirements.
Strong technical background on Cisco voice gateways and Telco configuration (ISDN / SIP).
A deep understanding of a Unified Communications and Voice over IP infrastructure including but not limited to: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified
Presence Server, Jabber Client, SIP, QoS and Contact Center Express.
An understanding of network switching and routing as related to a Unified Communications and
Voice over IP networks.
A strong Video background would be a definite plus.
Attendant Console software knowledge would be a plus.

Ability to analyze network activity and network related issues to discover and prevent systematic errors. Recommend/Implement Unified Communications network monitoring software and design changes/enhancement to improve system availability and overall performance
Ability to define and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and network diagrams for all Unified Communications equipment. Establish System Administration standards and procedures and expectations, as part of the deployment of new infrastructure services, systems and technologies.
Experience supporting Call Centers, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Check Service Desk database for entries on Collaboration/Voice issues; prioritize and respond to Service Desk tickets as appropriate.
An understanding of continuous improvement and change management practices
Experience implementing and maintaining Unified Communications and Voice over IP in very secure computing environments.
Strategy & Planning
A deep understanding of current and emerging technology with the ability to advise company on the appropriate adoption of technologies providing both tactical and strategic solutions. Ability and technical depth to recommend new or enhanced services, systems for maximum cost effectiveness, functionality and security.
Ability to maintain a geographically dispersed yet fully redundant Unified Communications network environment.
Ability to act as a resource for problem resolution, solving the most difficult and complicated technical problems in the Unified Communications/Voice over IP environment and owning the problem resolution process from start to finish.
Knowledge and ability to apply quality assurance methodologies to infrastructure operations and experience meeting regulatory requirements of infrastructure implementations.
Demonstrated ability to partner across Information Services to ensure the delivery of great customer service to users of the Firm’s computing environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as very well educated researchers in various fields.
Keep abreast with advanced Unified Communication technology used by the industry.
Assume responsibility for technical studies, and make recommendations for products and services covering overall UC platform
Knowledge, Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree from recognized college or university and seven plus years related experience and/or training.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of information technology experience, with 3 to 5 years or more years of Cisco Unified Communications /Voice over IP experience. CCVP or CCIE certification preferred.
Project planning and management experience is a plus.
Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Superior written and oral communication skills.
Excellent technical architecture, design and technical support documentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies, trends, standards, and products.
