Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automated tools and test infrastructure
Additional responsibilities include the technical supervision of junior test engineers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with development engineers to define automated test processes and tools to support device verification/validation testing
Support the development and execution of system design reviews and code review processes
Works closely with QA engineers to produce valid test protocols from system requirements and knowledge of the system
Responsible for the development and maintenance of scalable test infrastructure used during device testing and research
Adheres to product build and release schedules and strategies
Works under supervision on complex projects with work checked periodically
Performs other duties as assigned by Management
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports, however general guidance, technical supervision, compliance and quality reviews, and initial performance review write-ups of junior engineers and technicians is required.

Educations and/or Experience:
BS/MS degree in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of software development methodologies and programming skills are required
Experience with test automation packages, test automation environments, and unit level testing is desired
Experience with Handheld, Wearable, or Medical devices
Regulatory compliance standards
Understanding of mechanical design
Understanding of software design and troubleshooting
Proficient in the use of general engineering lab equipment including oscilloscopes, waveform generators, network analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.
