SUMMARY We are working with a manufacturer of highly customized specialty products to identify a contract Manufacturing Process Engineer. Known for high volume and quick turnaround, our confidential client produces and ships product to over 100 countries across the globe. Located in the New Kensington area, this company offers a highly dynamic environment and emerging culture.
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support that focuses on manufacturing processes and methods improvements through cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency initiatives.
This assignment will last approximately 6 months, give or take, and offers an hourly compensation of $30 -- $35 depending on skills and experience.
Conceptualize new machinery, equipment, fixtures and tooling to make the manufacturing process more effective.
Evaluates existing plant layout and recommends changes to increase productivity.
Investigates and recommends solutions for production and product related quality issues.
Heads problem-solving and quality improvement issues.
Develop and maintain routings, material lists, manpower requirements, machine/equipment requirements, skill levels, and tooling requirements.
Plan, coordinate and implement production based project improvements.
Support Production departments by developing manufacturing standards and procedure manuals.

BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering required.
3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
Experience in machine and process automation design and equipment layout design.
Experience in fixture and tooling design and fabrication.
