Position responsibilities include: - Assist in the development of all sales & marketing plans for assigned products - Perform detailed market research, as required - Responsible for the successful implementation of all marketing plans for assigned products - Key member of the Product Development Plan team - Serve as the technical and application specialist for an assigned product line and interface on a daily basis with the sales channel - Write articles for trade magazine publications - Write and present technical papers for trade shows and seminars - When required, participate in booth duty at trade shows - Provide technical expertise and training in support of product development and release to market - Must spend sufficient time in the field working with representatives promoting products intended for target applications and/or key account penetration - Maintain regular contact with all sales representatives regarding product promotion - Manage the day to day progress of all new product releases - When appropriate, write new application bulletins - Assist Marketing Manager and help coordinate product development, estimates of potential profits, and the forecast of 5 years sales projections - Responsible for facilitating the resolution of all technical and application issues for assigned products - Identify the need and make recommendations regarding sales channel expansion and/or improvement - Responsible for all Voice of the Customer marketing initiatives - Recommends possible corrective action plans to the sales department, when product sales are below target - Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, operations, including the sales channel in order to develop and provide products that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities - Works with the Sales Department in order to ensure all sales targets are achieved for assigned products - Collaborate with key division personnel - Other duties as required by business conditions
- B.S. in Engineering, Marketing, or the Physical Sciences - Minimum of 5 years sales and/or marketing experience in process instrumentation - Solid understanding of optical spectroscopy, with an emphasis on Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS), and applications in the process industries - Experience working with the downstream side of the oil and gas industry, specifically refining and hydrocarbon processing markets - Knowledge of the emissions monitoring market - Windows Environment, Microsoft Office Suite - Possess excellent marketing skill sets - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent group presentation skills - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Must exhibit a friendly and cooperative demeanor - Maintains a high degree of personal integrity at all times - Very good at market analysis - Ability to attract the support and cooperation of others
