The Endpoint Systems Administrator is responsible for managing both student and staff endpoints (e.g. laptops, desktops) and delivering comprehensive solutions including Administration (Windows imaging, patching), Device Management, and Security. Responsible to define and maintain technical standards, roadmaps, technology evaluations and work closely with field staff to deploy. This position will assist in the creation and drive the overall endpoint strategy and contribute to planning, implementing an IT vision aligned with the organization’s strategic business plan. Endpoint Systems Administrator will oversee work performed by the Technology Hardware Repair Team and be responsible for administering the systems related to endpoint management.
Oversees and directs the Technology Hardware Repair Supervisor and Technology Repair Team
Administers all systems related to endpoint management (i.e. desktop management, Antivirus, etc)
Manages endpoint software licenses and subscriptions along with the IT Asset and Procurement Administrator.
Implements the tactical components of the Endpoint IT strategy
Works with business partners and internal business units to understand business needs.
Manages the development and implementation of Endpoint IT initiatives
Embraces and executes change through frequent, communication to staff and students
Provides input into demand management process and executes on plan
Implements solutions consistent within current context of overall architecture
Implements defined process improvements
Participates in the development of IT budgets
Provides high-quality services at optimal cost to staff and students
Measures service performance and implements improvements

Participates and provides input to the SLA development process, and ensures internal SLAs are met
Provides advice and counsel to the vendor relationship decision-making and contract development
Reviews service provider performance
Identifies and confirms performance problems and notifies contract managers
Meets regularly with team to gather work statuses, and discusses work progress and obstacles
Provides advice, guidance, encouragement and constructive feedback
Establishes measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with organizational goals
Documents and presents performance assessments
Participates in IT workforce deployment activities
Train subordinate supervisors on effectiveness of duties and responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies
Interview, hire, and train new employees
Resolve non-routine or complex software, hardware, and procedural problems
Confer with staff, computer users, and supervisors to determine requirements for new modified software and hardware
Write recommendations for upper management review
Write step-by-step procedures of pertinent processes , document and update training resources and manuals
Coordinate implementation of procedural changes
Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent change, delays or unexpected events with composure
Demonstrates a sense of ownership and responsibility within areas of oversight
Perform any additional duties deemed necessary by Systems Engineer and Senior Technology Director
Associate’s Degree in the field of Information Technology or equivalent with 5 to 7 years work experience in the field, and at least three years as a supervisor or manager is preferred.
Knowledge of workplace productivity suites, such as Microsoft Office
Strong technical background related to endpoint computing solutions (Windows desktop OS, patching, deployment tools, etc).
Technical experience with networking, servers, and Active Directory is preferred
Child Abuse Clearance; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance
