POSITION TITLE: SENIOR PARALEGAL – DISCLOSURE/COMPLIANCE
DEPARTMENT: LEGAL – LEGAL SERVICES
Bachelor degree required; major in Business, Economics, Finance or English preferred; Paralegal Certificate preferred
Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience or equivalent experience required
Demonstrated experience in deadline-driven, detail-oriented, complex legal or business environment; registered fund experience and knowledge of securities and registered fund products and operations preferred
Provide senior level Paralegal registered fund regulatory services to Federated legal staff and business units, outside counsel and clients to meet requirements of the SEC, FINRA, and other registered fund regulators.
Working with internal and external counsel, Federated business units, Legal Services and Legal Department management, prepare and review regulatory documents required for the creation and maintenance of registered funds, ensuring they are in proper form for filing with regulators and meet all regulatory deadlines.
Research, analyze, interpret and address legal, regulatory and procedural issues and questions, as appropriate. Present results in professional writing or at client or department meetings or training sessions.
Advocate and resolve issues with regulators and clients, as appropriate.
Assist co-workers, internal and external counsel, Legal Services management and Legal Department management, as directed or required.
Provide assistance in analyzing, establishing and monitoring procedures.
Perform research and special projects, as directed.
