SUMMARY We are working with a growing Northwestern PA manufacturer to identify an established Mechanical Engineer. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Engineer and design new products from initial planning to production. • Provide and perform engineering assistance for field service problems. • Perform inspections on product components and assemblies. • Prepare detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and Solid Edge. • Direct the work of designers, drafters, and technicians. • Participate in engineering projects and engineering meetings. • Assist in the investigation and analysis of new material and engineering practices. • Edit and construct technical data for operation, maintenance and parts manuals. • Create and organize complete bill of material for purchasing department.
REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product or equipment design in a manufacturing setting. • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; Associate Degree in Engineering may be considered with 12 years of experience. • Competency in AutoCAD drafting and Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor required. • Exposure to Structural and Materials functions including: welding procedures, hand calculations, and Finite Element Analysis a plus. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
