Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to lead the company’s Technology function as the company makes the transition from development stage to high growth operation.  This new position requires a high level of energy and hands-on participation, but with the experience to know what processes and controls are needed to support the company’s expected $1+ billion asset size two to three years down the road.  This is a demanding, fast-paced position that will require the successful candidate to be a self-starter, a true professional and take ownership of the position from day one. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.  Prior experience in the evaluation and implementation of an ERP system a plus.  Knowledge and experience of GIS land and data management system software a plus. 
·         Establish, maintain and enhance system service levels.
·         Monitor and manage system and network performance.
·         Establish operating procedures and guidelines i.e. security administration, systems administration.
·         Provide system and network level support for 24X7 operation.
·         Performs system backups, transfer of data and data recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. 
·         Maintains and troubleshoots computers, printers and related equipment. 
·         Interfaces with IT and telecommunication providers.  Responsible for the ordering and configuration of laptops and related technical equipment.
Requirements:

          Bachelor’s degree in a related area with at least five years of experience in the IT world.  Experience supporting PC desktops, laptops,   LAN        and related tech equipment. 
Security administration experience required.
Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e., domain controllers, active directories, etc.
