Job Overview

UPMC Corporate Services is hiring a full-time systems analyst, intermediate to work standard daylight hours, Monday through Friday, supporting the Enterprise Hospital Services for its UPMC Corporate Services locations. The systems analyst will be responsible for providing experienced analytical and programming capabilities, defining requirements, developing and maintaining computer systems, providing services to meet client IT and business needs. The incumbent will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of several COGNOS frameworks and cubes. Additionally, this position requires scheduled off hour support for the deployment of application and hardware upgrades and participation in an on- call (24 x 7) application support pager rotation. 

Responsibilities:

- Assists with the design and documentation of system requirements and formats to facilitate the development of deliverables, such as requests for proposals, custom development efforts, and project based planning documents
- Works with ISD staff, clients and vendors to evaluate, develop, and implement solutions including both packaged system solutions and custom development applications options
-Designs and documents system level, IS operations level, and end user level procedures to support business applications
-Develops and maintains Cognos frameworks and cubes that are used by the clients

 

Basic Qualifications:

-Demonstrates thorough understanding of the fundamental tools and concepts of one of the information technology professional disciplines (i.e., applications, business analysis, customer service, data, networking, operations, security, systems engineering, etc.) and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a particular UPMC department or function
-Completes on-going training, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities
-Strong skills in the development and maintenance of Cognos framework and cubes are strongly preferred
