PURPOSE:
Responsible for the design, testing, implementation, upgrades, maintenance, support, security and documentation of a variety of purchased and internally developed Compliance Management applications. Provide a leadership role on application projects and serve a key resource for end users, vendors, consultants and teams within IT.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide maintenance and support of internally developed, Java-based applications. •Perform assessments of software maintenance upgrades, business process change impacts, and identify technology solutions for business problems. •Develop specifications, technical documents, software, and provide application technical guidance to all constituents. •Perform application maintenance, upgrades, and deployments for purchased applications. Provide detailed documentation of builds, decisions and changes. •Provide application support for production systems. •Develop software to support reporting and adhoc applications. •Participate in planning activities for business applications requirements. •Test applications and participate in application performance tuning.
•Assist with Application Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field along with a minimum of 5 years of Application support experience
•Must have a minimum of 5 year experience with the following programming technologies: Java; SQL development
•Must have 1-2 years experience with the following programming technologies: Web development – CSS, HTML; Fortran, C++, shell scripting
•Exposure to SAP is preferred but not required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Must demonstrate a complete understanding of Java program design principles, theories, concepts and techniques
•Must demonstrate an ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
•Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; contribute to the development of new processes and resolve complex technical matters
•Must be customer focused, involved in long-term trend and emerging requirement analysis, with a strong conceptual understanding of enterprise-wide software and possess: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of problems; (2) excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; (3) excellent interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals; (4) the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; and (5) excellent computer skills
