SUMMARY Growing accounting service in Fenelton, PA seeks a full-time Accounting Assistant to process accounting and payroll for government contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES Will Include: • Accounts payable and receivable • Reviewing government contracts, and applying specifications to accounting processing and reporting • Managing communications with the customer • Assisting in the preparation of bi-monthly payroll • Tracking data using Excel
This is a professional office offering a friendly, casual work environment. Work hours between the hours of Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, can be flexible on the work schedule within those parameters. Benefits are offered.
REQUIREMENTS • An AS degree or higher, in accounting or business is preferred • General accounting experience (receivables, payables, and/or payroll) is required • Ability to learn government contract accounting • Strong skills in QuickBooks and Excel • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to organize, prioritize, work independently in a deadline-oriented environment • Role will expand in responsibility over time; must be willing to learn and adapt • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
