The Media Developer role storyboards, records audio, and post produces media presented as on-line course materials. These media objects are created to standards to ensure they are educationally effective, reliable and of top quality.
Responsibilities
Introduce and champion new multimedia development technologies and instructional design concepts
Create instructional content and help select appropriate graphic and multimedia treatments to align with learning objectives
Update and modifies existing videos based on best practices, policy/product/procedure updates, or for continuous improvement purposes
Develop creative concepts, scripts and storyboards using MS Office Suite, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite
Possess impeccable time management and attention to detail
Provide exceptional customer service with internal team members
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to creatively design instructional multimedia presentations with excellent attention to detail, exceptional work ethic, and time management skills
Broad understanding of current technical issues and instructional system design and development trends
Must have proficiency with MS Office Suite, Camtasia, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
Desire to work in a team oriented environment with adaptability and flexibility
Must possess excellent writing and editing skills
Understanding of the special considerations when writing for video a plus
Education &/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field preferred
Experience in media production
Experience in training operations and training development as well as program and curriculum management and design
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
